Bangladesh Folk Festival-Montréal-2017/ Festival Folklorique du Bangladesh 2017 - Montréal

Sufi and Bauls from Bangladesh and South Asia performing 1st Bangladesh Folk Festival-Montréal-2017. Sufi-Baul are a group of mystic minstrels from Bengal. Bauls constitute both a syncretic religious sect and a musical tradition. They can often be identified by their distinctive clothes and musical instruments. Not much is known of their origin. Lalon Fakir is regarded as the most important poet-practitioner of the Baul tradition. Intercultural communities gather for Unity, cross culture exchange, Food display forum, Cultural show with closing ceremony

The Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in Canada, most commonly known as FOBACA, is one of the brightest Bangladeshi organizations in Canada. Established in 2010, the organization's primary goal is to organize annual conventions across the country hosted by various member Bangladeshi Associations.
The organization is registered in Canada has become a household name among Bangladeshi-Canadian.The first FOBACA convention was held in Montreal, June-26,27, 2010. The organization is based in Montreal.
